Squad 2

Squad 2 is a 2000 Ford Explorer 4x4  assigned to the Fire Chief.  This vehicle was donated to the department from a town resident in 2006 in order to replace a rusted out 1986 military surplus Chevy Blazer.  It serves as a command vehicle on fire scenes and has specialized radio equipment which allow us to better communicate with neighboring departments.

Squad 1

Squad One is a 1990 Ford/Wheeled Coach support vehicle.  It was pressed into Fire Department service after serving as the town's ambulance for nine years.  A multitude of equipment for firefighting, ice & water rescue, and fireground rehabilitation is onboard.   Squad One responds to all structure fires and ice/cold water rescue scenes.

Air Trailer

This utility trailer was obtained through a military surplus property program.  It has been outfitted with large capacity high pressure tanks of breathing air used to refilled air packs at a fire scene.  It also has storage space for spare air bottles, and can be towed by any of our 4 wheel drive vehicles.  The cascade tanks on the trailer are refilled back at the fire station using a specialized air compressor.  Both the compressor and the cascade system were purchased using money obtained from grants.

Boat

18 foot Jon Boat with a 40 horsepower outboard motor.  The boat, motor, and trailer were purchased using grant money obtained by the Brookfield Police Department.  It was then refurbished and equipped by the Fire Department to handle incidents on our lakes and rivers.
